understandable!! if they are just stock replacements they should fit......if you are buying them as stock replacements cause your headlight covers are yellowed...wet sanding and a compound and a high speed buffer can solve that prob in a few minutes....heck I don't even wet sand them..I just use a course compound and flip the buffer on high then go back with a polish compound...mine are original and have saved them that way more than once

to be honest what ever compound is in the cabnet at work.....but usually its a meguires medium cut compound then I'll follow it up with some "Colorback" by turtle wax.......and then maybe a cleaner wax after that to clean the mess up......but the thing is to use a high speed buffer.....that's what does most of the work..if you use some 800 grit to 1000 grit wet sanding first will make it even nicer

wet sanding.....just have a spray bottle handy and soak the wet sanding paper..found at any autobody paint store....usually use a lite mix of soapy water and just sand it evenly keeping the surface wet until all the surface is hazed...and then dry it off to see if all spots are hazed..and then buff in stages with medium cut compound then a polish for final pass
