Honestly how is the condition of the cats? My car has been running like how you described and it turns out my LTs either melted them or they are hopelessly clogged. That would be my first check. And you can run the home test and pull the codes using the self test on the EEC. You just ground out the self test plug and the CEL will flash giving you codes. If you can findthe codesor someone can post them, your car's computer should tell you all that troubles it.

Check for vacuum leaks. Is the MAF filament dirty? Try spraing it with brake parts cleaner.
Sounds lean to me.
