Default blown rear diff?

well ive noticed lately when i try and do a dounut only one of my tires spins[:@], while when i first got the car it was always both, never just one. but when i just sit there and power brake it or kick it out around a corner its always both wheels spinnin, just when tryin to go in circles is it a one wheel peeler. so what does this mean? theres no noise or vibrations coming from the rear. so im guessing i blew out the stock differential. if thats the case, anyone know where i can get a detroit locker for the best price? thanks for any of your help!

All you need to do is replace the clutches in the rear end. If this car is your daily driver, I wouldn't suggest a detroit locker. They work great, but they are expensive, noisy andhard on the rest of your drivetrain. If youspent most of yourtime on the track, a locker would be more reasonable. The limited slip on your car is fine for what you do with it, just rebuild it?.

When I had the stock diff in and rebuilt it, I used the FMS carbon fiber friction plates and changed the shim pattern adding an extra friction pad on each side. Works great!!!!

ha you didnt blow out your diff just the traction lock. they are little metal and clutch disks on both sides of the carrier. mine does the same thing right now. try doing a donut going left it should do it fine when ever i try to kick it sideways going right or a donut its just a onetire fire

its quite a bitch to replace them you gotta pull the spider gears out and there is a giant spring pushing out on the spider gears on the side. its not so hard getting the spring out its a real pain getting that spring back in and it can be a pain to get the spider gears in right if you have never done it before it will just take you a couple tries before you put the spider gears back in right
