when replacing the camshaft, remove the timing cover and waterpump as one piece.

2.Use plenty of lube on the lobes, any nicks or scratches and its over.

3.Replace the timing chain and both sprockets, both dots line up, not face 12 like a Chevy.

4.Install new roller lifters or soak them in Kerosene a few days, then inspect them for knicks or sticking/damaged roller bearings.

While the letter cams may be outdated, they are tried and true. Yes, there is better technology out there. The point of a dual pattern cam is to flow better on the exhaust side due to Ford heads having a crappy exhaust flow. AFR solved this problem. Hell, you have guys running an F-cam that are in the 8's. It all depends on how you build the motor.

wrong, a b cam with 1.7 rockers has a total lift of 0.510
x cam is 0.542
