Anyone ever here of a dna muffler. It's suppose to have a real aggresive tone. I'm looking for a throughty/unique sounding exhaust. I like the sound of flowmaster, but i heardthat they do not flow very good.Any suggestions?

P.S. had flowmaster on my 86. Blew the welds in one of them the other day.

Look into Dynatech. They are a straight through styel, and sound BADASS!!! My boy has them on his 67 w/ a turboed 347 stroker.

Just curious why do you say junk. Do they not quiet it down at all? Do they kill the performance? What's so bad about them?

And about dynotech. That's still a turbo style muffler correct? That's kinda what I wanted to stay away from. Had borla's, wasn't real impressed with the sound. Like i said love the flowmasters, but don't wanna hurt performance or have to replace them in another year again.

Just fyi i'm running bbk shorty headers, 2 1/4 h-pipe with cats, and 2 1/2 tailpipes. I just need to plug in a mean muffler to finish it off. Any advice would be awesome guys. I don't want the run of the mill sound. I wanna a muffler that'll talk mean.

SLP Loudmouths will do the trick. Dynatech sounds nothing like Borla. His car sounds NASTY when stepping on it. It has a racy tone, not deep like Borlas.

You talking about just putting slp loudmouth mufflers on? or the whole cat back? I realize sound for a car is all personal preference. But i'm really just wondering who has a throughty exhaust out there. Would like it loud but not obnoxious. Thought the DNA's would be perfect except not sure how well they suppress the sound.

your not goona sacrafice that much hp by using flowmaster you might loose 1-2 hp the most..i would sacrafice that for the flowmaster sound

Good point!!!!!!!! I had american thunders. I wanna go a little louder. I heard the new super 40's were louder. Is that true. Or would i have to put like 3 inch tips on my tailpipes to make it a little louder?

3" tips arent gonna make it louder. I have long tubes, o/r h, and original Flowmaster dumps and it is LOUD!

Well i'm talking about 3 inch tips that are 22" long. I realize it won't make it that much louder. But it should make it a little bit.

Could be wrong. But i would think it's like a mega phone effect. 3 inch tailpipes should be louder than 2 1/2 inch pipes...... hahaha... i think
