Default Heater core Hoses

My heater core hoses in the engine bay are leaking coolant all over the backside of my engine.

I've confirmed this with the reving of the engine and coolant squirting out right at the hoses end.

WHATS the best and easiest way to replace these hoses???????
IS IT going to be a mess? should I even try to NOT make a mess?????

I hope this fix takes 30mins....... Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!!

it is going to be a mess no matter what you do....... i replaced mine when i first bought my car i bought the hoses from advance auto parts because it was the cheapest at the time i eventually bought the ford racing silicone ones . they seemed to fit alot nicer... hope this helps

im pretty sure if you let the engine cool open the rad cap let the pressure out ..if you can squeeze the hose the water has settled and shouldnt come pouring out so it wont meake too much of a mess .. as for the rest hope you have lil hands lol

pull over the grass and you won't see the mess......replace hoses and bleed system properly when done until you have good heat

After you replace the hoses, start up the car, and squeeze the upper radiator hose. That will bleed out any air bubbles. Also, if you take off the throttle body, it will be easyier to replace the hoses. While your at, it summit sells a whole set of Ford coolent hoses for about a hundred bucks. Not a bad deal. Also they are baby blue.

Be VERY gentle when yanking the hoses from the heater core, or you'll be replacing the HC next weekend.

^^ LISTEN TO HIM!!!

i made the mistake of turning the hose as i pulled it, and took the nipple off the heatercore with it!!

whats next after that? replacing the heatercore!!

not a fun job...

BE VERY GENTLE.. if its too hard keep re-applying lube and it will budge.
