who knows, i have a Holley Fuel Pump laying around from a car i used to have so im gonna throw it in there, if it still doesn't work ill do the Coil
i also have a Kirban FPR sitting right next to my lap top lol

do the coil fisrt it is alot cheaper unless u wnat a new one but also take out that wire and look inside cause mine was all corroded so if thats the case u might just want all new wires , but that problem sucks it is embarrasing goin down the road and havin ur car do tht lol

o man i have been there mine got to the point were it did die and then reandomly turn back on but the worst is when everyone looks at u, but yea that should be it thats wat it sounds like

okay here is my Fuel Pump i had laying around...
now correct me if im wrong but the metal peice its in, is already in my tank... so i just have to take out the pump it self and installed it in the piece that my old pump is in right?

FUEL PUMP! Any bucking or popping would indicate a lean condition. Trust me, the fuel pumps love to go bad on these fox bodies. Grab a walbro pump and i bet that fixes your problem.

1) I know this may sound compleely offbase. Did you check the firing order ? 5.0s have a different order than any other engine. Once, when I read the manual too fast I set it up wrong. Got popping noises, etc.. For the 89 5.0 I have .... 1-3-7-2-5-6-4-8
2) Bad Gas... If it is over 3 months old..
Just some random thoughts....
