Car is kept in the garage at night, and in the morning there has been a gas smell after being in there overnight, and it has gotten kind of strong a few times lately.

Its an 85 carbed. Not sure if its leaking or anyhting but ive checked around good. I've check all connections to the carb, and fuel pump, i've also checked around the gas tank and neck a bit visually and saw nothing, and there have been no signs of leaking on my garage floor?

Are there any spots on these mustangs where there are ususally leaks or rust build up that will cause a leak. Any certain spots i should check? I'm not sure if it will naturally smell a little bit like gas, but i just wanted to double check. Any help or ideas on searching for a leak would great. Thanks in advance.

check the filler neck gasket and rubber seal to tank

check the secondaries for fuel. If the floats are set to high they can drip at times with the vehicle not running Also check the evap canister if its got one for raw fuel.

IF YOU HAVE REMOVED THE EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS THEN THE VAPORS WILL JUST VENT TO ATmosphere which is what you may be smelling..and or make sure there are no leaks in the tank or neck and any lines

ya smog and whatnot have been taken out of car. That would have an effect on the the gas smell?

I removed all the smog and emissions bull**** and my car has a tendency to smell like gas. It probably isn't any to be too concerned about.
