Default New Project - The Shelby Clone

Hey guys, I figured since I'm getting a decent paying job now, I'm interested in a project. I want to make my 91 LX 5.0 into what would be the Shelby in it's day. Call it the Shelby Clone I guess, lol. Now, I think the Shelby clone would looks something like the GT, so I will need the GT Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, Side Skirts, Cobra Spoiler, and the Front Bumper Extentions. The Paint job will be Charcoal Grey, with the two Black Strips down the middle. What do you guys think? Any opinions, or examples would help alot. Thanks in advance

Do it shelby colors, white with two 8 inch racing stripes down the middle or vise versa. I'd also do the hood. The shelby looked like it had half an oval sticking out of the hood. IDK if you can find a scoop that looks like that though.

you need the nice good scoop for it, and dont go GT ground effects... you need either something custom made, some other kit thats tweaked a bit, or mismatch a kit, saleen skirts, stalker front, cobra rear, etc.

yeah check out www.designconceptsauto.com They got the stalker and black widow kits i believe. I looks more custom then the gt kits. I think the black and gray would be cool.

the stripes on a shelby veary, they are all different sizes going up and down the car, cars with stright stripes look dumb, on a fox start the stripes on the hood, do not go onto the bumper i think they look dumb like that, then go over top the car and stop at the bottom of the hatch, that looks the best IMO i have the stripe layout for a shelby if you want it

Well, I'm going for the "Elenor" colors, since you know... they're sexy. I will look into other body kits, but mind you, I'm trying to get it done as quick as I can, so I can't exactly get expensive parts, I'm doing good enough on the paint job. I'll look into the different body parts, but as of now, I think the GT body style on an LX would match it best, since again, I don't have a GT hatch, so my car will be Unique
