Default BEnT PUSHRODS TICK??

I have bent pushrods i tore into my engine after changing the plugs and wires last night that had to be done BAD ....talk about one hell of a tune up huh guys? So my question is is the ticking im hearing coming from these slightly bent pushrods? there is no spongy valves...rockers look good some multiple input would be nice ......BUT im happy as hell i found a real problem

the bent push rods are allowing excess rocker to valvestem tip clearance crating rocker slap that most likely is the noise you are hearing......if you got bent push rods...you may want to see why ......misadjusted rockers can do that..over reving the engine can do that...if the rockers are stud mount that may of been the case......you might want to do a cylinder leakage test and or compression test on cylinder with bent push rods to verify internal integrity/seal

if the rockers were loose due to bent push rods ..then yes they will be noisey and car probably ran like crap ..and if you had a oil pump sieze.. I'd check the distributor drive gear and make sure the roll pin didn't shear

^^if they are pedastal mount rockers..as long as you use the stock length push rods..just torque them down

just put it back together and start it up...no real good way to check lifters as long as they are not collapsed you'll be fine

if a lifter won't pump up then that would allow a lot of slack/slop in valvetrain adjustment and rocker would flap all over the place= noisey
