Default TOO MUCH OIL NOT SURE

I posted this issue the other day but not sure what too do. Here it is, I had my oil changed at a shop and when i checked the oil it was a inch past the full line. I asked my mechanic how much oil he put in and he said 4.5 litres, i then showed him on the dipstick how full it was and he said the oil was completely drained. This is the second time its happend to me and the first time i made them take it down to the full line, this was at a different shop. So my thing is, do i have the wrong dipstick or what, im sure i have the stock oil pan. WTF thx for any help.

thats normal...it's gold right ? pure gold ?

we have 2 drain plugs, and if you don't hit the front one, it will hold 1 qt of bad oil

just to add......normal oil consumtion for a new 5.0 is 1 qt every 3000 miles..thats why there is extra on the stick

drain both parts of the pan remove filter and start from the begining with an oil change and add exactly 5 qts if it reads overfull then someone may have shortened the dipstick tube

ok i found an online calculator and technically the mechanic did not put enough oil. its supposed to be 5 quarts, not 4.7
i say next time do it yourself and stop being lazy, oil changes are easy as hell. i live in a condominium where we are not allowed to work on cars and i manage to do every oil change, and i change my oil once a month.
4.5 l = 4.75509 quart (US liquid)
