Will my stock block handle these upgrades?

Will my stock block handle these upgrades?
Ok, I had just installed the Vortech V2 SQ on my 91 GT ( 8-10 lbs of boost ) and found a weak link in my head gasket or intake gasket. Now.. I figure since I am going to prob remove the heads anyway why not upgrade the heads and intake, injectors. MAF ....
So I picked up the TFS top end kit from Summit http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku. My question is with the lower end handle this combo? I am going to use my current cam B-303 I personally like it ( I know I will be curcified by some for that ) . Move up to 42lbs injectors and 255 pump and appropriate MAF. I called some well known shops in NJ and they seem to think this will be a good combo. But local shop ( actually a friends shop ) standard repair shop... that normally I use, and was planning non bringing this to do is convinced that the stock lower end will def blow.. anyone have any success or horror stories with a similar combo? Got my parts but now I am a little nervous that I may have made a mistake...

RE: Will my stock block handle these upgrades?
i would pull the motor and freshen the bottom end up and in the process install 3/8 rod bolts and have the crank turned 10/10. that will definately help out especially the rod bolts. also add a main girdle. depending on the tune you should be around 450-475 and as long as you dont thrash on it every where you go itll be fine. a lot of y the blow is people thrash on them all the time and wear them out also they try to put 400+ hp on a 150,xxx mile motor that has some slack in the clearances and it beats itself up till something blows, so just freshen it up and add good hardware and you should be fine!!! good luck

Thanks guys for the responses..
What do you mean by trashing it? I do want to take it to the track and see what it will do. I am sure I will get on it , but now I am kinda worried about the block. I did just dump a good sum of money on the parts so I dont want to destroy it, but I do want to enjoy it at the same time. I thought about the rebuild on the bottom end.. but truth is, I think I have reached the bottom of what I am going to spend this year.Especially sinceIprob. will have to pay someone do the install of H/I install. I saved some moneyby doing theSC install myself, but I think doing thetop end upgrademay be a little deep for me to do in my Garage. Maybe I should have done a crate motor for the same amount of money..
Would doing the girdle and crank , rod bolts reallyhelp that much? I have approx. 60K on clock. Car hasnt been run much since 99 . It was in a flood from hurricane floyd. But I had gotten it running then put it away until about a few months ago.. SO I cant honestly say how good the bottom end is.. But it ran strong as hell before I put the SC on.. Head gasket..
Sorry for the long winded background on the car but I would love to have it run strong and be fun for annother year or two.. when i can get serious.
Really 450-475 HP?
That would be Kick A$$! if it hold together

Does your friends car have the stock lower end also? How long has he had this combo and is he a real agressive driver? As you can tell from the post I am just trying to get as many opinions of how well I should be able to hold up. Now are we talking RWH of 450-500 or at the crank, that the lower end is at its limits?
