no pwr steering can be a beeeotch-- but ya get used to it...
Electric water pumps--- just get a painless wiring kit from Summit or Jegs and get all of your ACC's/ on a panel w/ flip switches--- it's not that hard, just time consuming. There is a 5 toggle switch panel they sale you can set it however you like (fuel, fan, water, batt, ignition)
that should be all you need....
BUT- by losing weight and all that really wont help out by an enormous amount... It seriously comes down to how you drive it (taking off fast, runnin the a/c all the time, ride at hi rpms..etc) and the size fuel injectors you run... At idle- nah it wont hurt ya, but getting on it, and cruisin-- maybe
I have 30lb injectors w/ 255 pump and drove from SC to FL with my mods and some (listed in my sig) w/ a hatch full of luggage, and ran a trans-am on I-85.... Still only stopped 2x's for gas...618miles one way from driveway to driveway.

sounds good dude i wanna get my car a little under 3000# and i'm gonna spend a great amount of time on suspension so that it'll hook still or decently hook and i don't usually drive at high speeds i usually go all the way to fifth now and i will do the same with the six speed prob won't need it as much except for trips on interstates which was a concern for me cuz i didn't want hauling it to be the cheaper way on gas when i wanted to take it somewhere i'm not constantly gettin on it so that shouldn't be a big prob either and it's prob gonna end up being a weekend car instead of a dd. so maybe it'll all work out and when it's done i guess i'll post results on how it does power wise and fuel consumption wise
