Default Cobra Brakes?

I bought SN-95 spindles and hubs for my 86GT. I just picked up the brake kit off a 03 Cobra with the 13" rotors, calibers and hoses. I noticed that everyone sells 2 kits, 1 for a 94-95, and one for 96-04. I know the 96+ spindles are a tad bit wider thats why I went with the 95's. My question is will the 96-04 Cobra brake kit work with the SN-95 spindles on my 86. I see that the Cobra R kit says it fits 94-04 so whats the difference?

I don't know enough to give you an answer about the spindles, but the Cobra R (the 2000 modelat least)has a different brake setup altogether and the kit is probably set up to be somewhat more universal for the sn-95s. I actually didn't realize there was a difference in the spindles. I always figured they were pretty much the same from 94 to 04 [&:].

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the 94-04 Cobra brakes are all the same.

94-95 spindles need to be grinded down just a little to clear cobra brakes, what kinda wheels are you going to run to clear the brakes?

I think the bracket was slightly different, to make up for the 8mm difference.

you may find that the rotor itself will not fully seat against the hub b/c the caliper bracket, and caliper, would be pushing it away

(mind you, this is all just speculation)

I'm just getting all my parts together now, maybe I would be better off selling the 96-04 set-up and getting the 94-95 one. That sucks but I hate to run into problems during install.
