WON'T START WHEN HOT!!!
Trying to figure out what is causing a hot non start. Rebuilt the motor, new intake, bigger cam, aluminum heads, changed the speed density to mass air to a 24lb setup. I can get it to start cold, go out run it for a little, shut the car off and acts like it want to kick over and then nothing.I have spark and i know i have fuel pressure cause i have a guage on my fuel rail, I'm not sure if it's flooding its self, which is a possiblity. Its and 86 stang with a 5spd trans does anybody out there have a clue or had this problem when hot?????

RE: WON'T START WHEN HOT!!!
TFI moduale located on the distributor. Happened to a few fox bodies that i know of and it happened on my 89 f250. Just buy one and i bet you it works. If you get it tested at murrays they will say its good but the thing is it goes bad when it gets HOT.

If i still have spark and fuel it should run, i know the TFI controls the spark so if i still have it, shouldn't that mean the TFI is still doing it's job? I have heard that when hot and doesn't start the TFI is usually the culprit, did try another distributor with the TFI in the car that i know worked in another car and it still didn't start

i definately have spark, i had a spark checker in the main coil wire to the distrib and even checked if it was traveling from the distrib to one of the plugs as well and i'm gettin it all the way down to the cylinder

what kind of coil do you have? i had an MSD coil and it had spark but not good enough i guess. replace it w/ a stocker and worked fine.
what color is your spark when you take a plug out and touch it to the block while cranking? it should be blueish. the bad spark i had was orange
