Default New member with electrical issues!!!!!!

Hey guys,im new to the forum and need a little help with a 5.0 conversion. I bought a 94 lx mustang with the monster 3.8 v6, and yanked it out and droped the 5.0 in. This is my first non fox body mustang and i know i have to have a 94-95 gt engine wiring harness, but what about the computer? The 302 going in the car is out of a 93 gt, will that computer work or did they change the computer when they did the body style? Any info would be very helpfull as this budget conversion has already went out of control. Thanks alot.

if it's a 93 engine and you plan to install it in a sn-95..you can't use the ecm from the 93 with the sn-95 harness and the 93 engine will need an sn-95 timing cover and water pump installed and an intake from a sn-95 also

you'd have to use all the acessories from the 93 ...... either rig up a elec fan set up or fan clutch set up...just depends on how correct you wish the conversion to be

if it were mine I'd use all sn-95 accessories and timing cover and water pump .. that way radiator inlet and out let are matched and correct hoses can be used and then I'd use a fox wiring harness and ecm as the sn-95 ecm when coupled with major engine mods have been detuned and can be tricky at times accepting new mod

So your saying i should just pull the harness out of the fox body, and use that comp and harness? that would be much cheaper for me

that's what I'd do..... but then you'd need a complete fuel management system / long block from the fox....= intake and injectors and all sensors

Ive got a donor 93 gt, which is where the engine came from. I think i will go that way with it as it seems thats going to be the cheapest way out.
