Default Wont quit overheating

i put a different stock 5.0 motor in my car i replaced every gasket.The car runs finei put new water pump,thermostat,radiator cap.If im driving like on the highway it does fine but when i get 2 the stop and go driving it starts coming out of the over flow.What the hell is wrong any ideas.

what is the temp at when it does such?? year of motor?? head gaskets on correctly?? torqued correctly??

You have a good radiator cap? When my car did that, my head gasket was blown....I had a bad torque wrench and didn't torque them right.

we just replaced everything pretty much the motor is out of a 92 gt.It does it about 200 id say like i said it runs fine tell the stop and go driving.It spits the overflow out but doesnt suck it back in.My dads friend said something about the radiator being 2 small maybe.

A block test will tell you if you are getting exhaust gas into the coolant.... If it is fine driving I would say either blockage in the radiator or fan clutch.

cause the radiator has had a history of being dirty cause the intake manifold gasket blow awhile back and the radiator had a bunch of crap in it.The heat flows fine though so im not sure what it could be.

mine was doing this and i bought a gt40 upper & lower intake and it fixed the problem. i believe something was wrong with my lower intake. just my openion. they are pretty cheap at the junk yard.
