[&:]man instead of speculate what it may be to the op fill it with water and if it's a huge leak jack it up and crawl under and look for it.. you are the only eyes here that can 100 percent find the prob.. if it's a small leak.. have it pressure tested

I am goning to putthe caron some jackstandslater todayand get under it. As of now if I put water in the radiator it comes out almost as fast from the leak. You can look under the car and see a steady stream of water coming out. I will let you guys know what I find later today.

I got the tranny and bellhousing out as well as the flywheel and clutch. It was indeed a freeze plug. I am going to replace it tomorrow. Its funny how such a small part could leak so much. I am going to replace both plugs in the back. Is there any special way to go about this? I have heard of people knocking the plugs into the motor. What's the best way to remove and install rear freeze plugs. Thanks for all the help.

I was starting to change the freeze plug when I noticed a 3 inch crack in the block. I kinda wonder why it cracked like that. Any ideas? I guess the big question now is stay 302 or up it to a 351w.If I go the 351w route I would like to make it a 408 and be done.

Anything is possible. I myself never got the car hotter then 210.I am almost certain it was cracked when I got the car. Me putting on the high volume water pump made it worse. I could always smell coolant but could never see any leaking. Now I know where it was coming from. Now I wish I had not spent all the money I did on this motor.
