My clutch is gone on my mustang and i was looking to get a spec stage 3 and a fidanza aluminum flywheel. Is anyone running this clutch and how do you like it. Any other clutches that anyone had that i should look into.

What all do you have done to your car that you would need a stage 3?

the spec clutch's are extremely grabby. not very nice on the street. my buddy has one in his honda and when he shifts it feels like the motor is gonna jump out of the car....and an aluminum flywheel might not be something you want on a street car, it will de-rev fairly quickly b/t shifts

My Spec is very nice and smooth on the street, it can engage as slowly or as fast as you like. Stage 3 though? Probably a bit much.

yeah, idk about all of them. but i know the stage 3 he has is crazy. the first time i rode in it with that clutch i was waiting for the motor to slam thourgh the firewall and eat me

unless you have a mega race car..you don't need nor would want a stage 3 in a street /strip car.......a stage 2 or 1 would suit you fine

I think it's stupid to compare a civic clutch to a Mustang clutch, chances are it'll be totally different.

lol, i didnt say it was a civic....and im not comparing factory clutches. im just saying, that the spec stage 3 clutch that i have experienced was very grabby. it happened to be in a honda. but i figure a stage 3 clutch prolly uses around the same type of friction material, so its prolly grabby in w/e you put it in. just offering an opinion, not downing the company, some people like to feel like they own a race car

haha isnt that funny, I just thought Civic when I heard Honda, that's pretty bad. What kind of car is it? At any rate, of course the Stage 3 is going to be grabby, it's made to hold a lot of power. Like i said the Stage 3 is probably way too much for his car, but even w/ the Stage 3s people have driven them on the street with no problem.

Note: if you don't want a stiff clutch pedal don't get a Spec.

I had a Spec Stage 3 in my car, trust me likehe saidup thereif you dont have an all out drag car dont do it!!! Broke 2 transmissions in one week (Me power shift!!) It is a nasty clutch i will give Spec that.Still got it if anybody wants to buy it, less than 100 miles on it...make me an offer i cant refuse.
