Car is running terrible
Ok so i just got done with an aode to t5 conversion on my 95 GT and i hooked everything up and put the new computer in. I fired it up and it was running terrible it was missing real bad and smoking. Now it idles at about 1500 to 2000 rpms and sputters real bad when you go above 3500. Is the computer bad or does it just need tuned??

it has to do with like 1 number in one of the codes that controls the auto functions when it was a auto car...u can have it tuned and they can change it...depending on the price tho idk what they charge but if u can find a i think ? T4MO computer pretty sure thats what we put in..they are the ones outta manual equiped cars and it works find doing that...and now that i read ur post again about the stumbling above 3500..that is exactly what ours did ..

i got the computer off ebay and they said it was running fine when pulled but idk. Im going to try to get it tuned and see if anything is off but its like its overloading or something and it sounds like its missing almost like a cam lol.

there is a specific ecm for the T-5.
check the ecm for codes and if water or rain got in the enginecompartment, check ignition components, specifically the coilpack and wires.

Start the diagnostics procedure...... run a DIY KOEO/KOER/Cylinder Balance Self-Test and start gathering information. A complete failure (absence) of the AODE electronics should/will not cause those types of problems/symptoms.

RE: Car is running terrible
ok i put the stock computer back in and it crunk up and idled fine the only problem with the stock computer was it pulls timing when it is time to shift the aode and bucks the car so im starting to think that the t4mo computer is bad.
