Default electircal problem

My windshield wipers work normally and spray out fluid and so does every thing in the dash. When i put my head lights on the the windshield wipers no longer work, the volts meter drops all the way to zero my temp gaguge goes off the chart, my rpm gague does not work and my fuel gague goes to empty. All the outside lights work properly tho. Also the left and right turn signal indicators come on in the dash and so the the high beam indicator when I put the lights on but the turn signals and high beams still work regularly when I need them. Last thing i lose all the dash lights besides the indicators mentioned previously. What could this be?

I was start pulling fuses to start simple. Just pull and check each one both under the dash and by the battery.

I would check for a bad or loose ground somewhere.

Are those the stock gauges or were they swapped? Sounds to me like the gauges are pinned wrong or one of the pins came out & is resting (like a power wire from the headlight switch touching the gauge ground) on another.

What happens when you pull the turn signal switch toward you (to turn on the brights)?

They are the stock gagues. The highs come on but every thing in the dash stays the same and the high beam indicator is already on.

Stock gauges. Are you sure the previous owner didn't replace them with a different set?

Or did the problem start after you bought the car?

Dude, it's not the gauges causing all those problems.
