I have had to replace mine last time my alternator burned up.In the pics the green wire is the new fusable link I installed it goes down into a black wire that has a square box like looking thing on it that says fusible link. Then it branches off into 2 wires. It looks like the only one that turns into 2 wires if that helps. You can test for power on the soleniod and then on the other side of the black box and see what you got.If you have no power the link is burned out.
Hope this helps.I will be out for a while will check back when I get home.

well keeps gettin better NOT.... anyways, the links on alternator lead seem ok to feel... although one has some noticeable nicks in the coating on the wires. However, there is a draw on this car also and not a parastitic draw... with everything buttoned up usinga voltmeter the reading is equal to batter strength, when i remove 2 wire (excluding alternator lead) the draw does down to .90! One wire i managed to trace back into the cabin on the car... the other is a huge fattie cable that looks pure yellow.

The one that goes to cabin is black and orange -- without that lead the car will not fire although it will crank... one can only assume that controls the spark so likely its going into the computer... the yellow wire and the alt wire i have a draw of approximately 10.57volts!

The black and orange wire does feel as though there are some "hollow / burnt" wires leading to what looks like a special connection. On the backside it read P10R dont know what it is, perhaps a resistor and also a fusible link beneath that and that wire coming from the link also feels very hollow. This wire also gets connected to the solenoid!

I did have a parastitc drain of 0.70 amps and it was associated to fuse #6, removing that brought the drain to 0.00

could this "draw" leave my battery with insuffecient juice getting to it from the alternator?

Regards

Adam
