get one of those cams, then you can add 1.7:1 ratio rocker arms at a later date whenever you wish, if you wish.

(if you have not actually made the purchase yet that way you can save money for now to get the stuff you NEED to complete your setup)

ORIGINAL: FullAuto

Just pull one from an 87-88 5.0.
Ding, ding, ding - We have a winner!

Steeper ramp rate, not lazy.

Forget the correlation between peak lift and performance.

Also forget a '93-'95 Cobra cam as well.

Good Luck with the Budget Build.

...any 5.0 H.0. non cobra spec pretty close however when you say "i might trade my cam for an 87-88 cam!" realize that 1985 - 1988 same........

not 100% sure what you mean to say 'more aggressive cam'... but the 1989-93 has more duration, more overlap... if you want the "most' out of stock perhaps go for one of these;

I dont know why they changed spec at this time, but perhaps they went a bit "bigger" becasue MAF could handle it where SD could not? Just a postulation

and it looks like the 351wHO cam with 1.7rr's would be the best "junkyard part swap" cam

why waste your time with another stock cam? you can buy letter cams and trickflow cams for like 50-100 bucks.
