I have a stock 89 Mustang GT Auto no cats. A friend of mine bougt a set of Magnaflows wrong size and wants to get rid of them. I don't know what series but he did say they were stainless steel. Someone told me it wouldn't be a good idea to get a straight thru muffler without cats is that true? Also how do they sound is the sound similar to a set of Flowmaster 40s?

friend has a set on their 68 cougar they are nice but have a unique raspy sound, I'm not a fan of the sound but that's just me

and they are way better than flowmasters, no drone at 1200-1500rpm.
but they are pretty loud.

i got them, O/R H pipe, 2.5" shortys, full to back bumper. i think they sound alright, might change them eventually.
