Hey guys, once again its me with a question: I took off my upper Manifold just to explore and stuff, and I was looking into both the upper and lower manifold ports, they have what I am guessing are Carbon deposits "Black Stuff" is that what that is? and My question is, is there a way to clean that or "Flush" it out? Thanks.

Well if you dont want to take it off, their are chemicals (like gumout) that you can spray in a vacuum port right after the throttle body that will clean the intake. You gotta be careful what you use though if you dont want to eat off the factory coating on them.

while its out take a dremel tool and port the sh*t out of the lower intake and cut the gasket to match it. might as well while its out.

Well I already took the Upper completely off, and so that one can be cleaned completely, what is a good cleaner that won't eat the coating? Any suggestions?</P>

I'd just soak your intakein a tank of carb cleaner. The factory coating is just there to prevent carbon buildup, it may or may not be gone by now, just dont use stuff like purple power or mean green to clean it. Carb cleaner works great it just takes a little longer. Soak it for a few hours, rinse it out, and spray it again lightlyright after to hold you over until you re-install it. They also make throttle body cleaner in a can, that will work too but its best to soak it.

I use the NAPA cleaner like 45.00 last forever.it's a 3.5 gallon but this is some killer stuff I left a carb in over a weekend all was left was some steel bolts*L*
you can even soak it in simple green as this is what I use to wash my engine down
