has anyone removed the ac and smog pump of their car, if you did, did you use the pullies that replace them or just get a shorter belt, if you can do that

Does removing the smog trigger any check lights? I want to get ride of all that crap also.

just take all of that stuff off and then take a string and run it around the patn the new belt would travel and then measure it and that is what size belt you will need give or take a couple inches. When i removed my smog pump it had nonegative effect on the car.

my buddy has a 88 lx he wants to remove the smog pump but he is worried about the tensioner and how much slack you would have to have or whatever or if any one knows the length of the belt with out ac or smog

if you buy the bracket from march it will give you numbers on the installation sheet.

You're pretty much screwed in emissions land. Just leave it alone or buy a trailer and only track it. Or prepare to install your emissions stuff every time you need to test.
