Default seat lean

My 88 gt has the traditional seat lean so I went to look at what was going on and found out that the left front seat bolt is not there and when you move the seat you can watch the floor move from underneath the car. It also looks like someone tried to reinforce it at one point. Is all this usual? How can I reinforce the floor for the seat so it dont move like that and even out the seat? Or should I just sell the car and forget about it because it does have some other issues I dont care for. Please inform me.

Pretty common problem..Just get a square plate of metal just a little bit heavier guage then the floor pan and weld the whole perimeter of the plate and you should'nt have anymore problems with the seat....Or you could always try a diet.

weld a plate in place and if the seat has the gangsta lean, most likely the spot welds on the back portion are broken, = remove upholstry and retack the seat welds, = done it tons a times

Are you talking about welding in a plate from the pinch weld to the floor or covering the whole portion where the seat mounts to? Also what work is required for putting in seats from 94 and up?
