Default 1 pc. Rear Main Seal Question

very simple question. on a one peice RMS, which way does it go, does the flat side go towards the flywheel, or the rest of the engine?

the same way the old one was in

lol, anyway I think the flat side goes to the flywheel, since that is how I screwed in some screws to get the old one out

it doesnt say, but it LOOKS like the flatside goes to the flywheel...

on a side note, should i just put assembly lube on it instead of oil?


nevermind, it says install with "spring side" towards engine, is that the side with the groove?
