Default What Heads should i use?

looking to tear into my mustang. i have a 93 GT pretty much bone stock. i have a cobra gt40 intake and a e303 cam on the way for it, however, i'm trying to decide what heads to get. i was looking at gt40P's to match up with the intake, or even go with the patriot heads, or maybe something close to these. this is a bit of a budget build. i'm not looking to spend an arm and a leg on heads, but i want something descent. the bang for the buck so to speak. i have other mods i will buy as well, but in do time. what do you guys think? any advice would be great...

Most here would recommend ported GT40Ps over patriots it seems.

You'll probably spend less and get the same amount of power with ported Ps.

World Windsor Jr is a great bang for the buck. Way better flow that the GT40p and priced about like the Patriot. It's an Iron head though.

Can someone (portmaster?) give a straight answer on which flows better, 40s' or 40P's?

I read one or the other is better than the other on here every day.....

They are pretty close on the flow bench and depending on the head it could go either way. In most cases the P will flow a little better. If I had to use one or the other I'd rather have the GT40. Personally I wouldn't hit a hog in the azz with either one. To many great choices out there to work a set of GT40 heads. You could pick up a good used set of Trick Flow, Edelbrock or Holley heads for about the same money it takes to work a set of GT40 heads the right way. Thats just a personal opinion. I see guys spend 700 dollars working a set of GT40p heads and I just shake my head.

Only reason i wouldnt get the p's is because you have to change headers and far as the world windsor jrs id like to know where you can pick the iron ones up for the price of the patriots cause i will buy them like right now im in the same boat as you budget build right now

awesome! i looked up the World Windsor Jr heads, and they seem promising. hey minnow. i found them on summit for about 450-500 bucks. seems like a good deal. the heads are cast iron, but i'd rather have cast iron myself. i've seem what happens to aluminum heads after a blown head gasket overheats the **** out of them. this wont be for some time, but what are a REALLY good set of heads, like the best of the best for the 302? money not an option. granted theirs no replacement for displacement, but theirs alot you can do with the 302's. this is my own first engine build, besides me helping my buddies. that and i'm still stuck in Iraq for a few more months, but when i come home, all my energy going towards my pony. can't wait. thanks again guys.
