Did you try wiggling the steering wheel while you turn the ignition?

Yes, I did.

Sorry guys.. been busy. I plan to head out tomorrow and check it out since it's supposed to be 45 here in MI.

Any other idea's I could do before tearing things apart, please let me know!

That has got to be one of the worst ideas I have seen....besides running water through an engine to clean it out.

It's not expensive to replace the cylinder.. and you don't have to chop up wires

Going to buy a new cylinder and do as you say. Now.. where do I drill? Right where the key goes, or do I have to take the plastic off the steering column or something?

I think I will look into a push button start, but would like to get it fixed for right now. I can get a new ignition cylinder with keys for $20.

Its not that bad of an idea, I got push button with an alarm system, no key needed. Just installed a safety switch thats hidden that has to be held while you push start

I would except I can't start it lol. Plus.. it's the middle of winter here still. It'll be another month and a half before she's out on the road.

Tips for drilling the ignition cylinder would be greatly appreciated. I haven't the slightest idea what to do..

take the plastic off around the column. Ill see if I can find a pic of where the pin is.. I know its on the back side towards the seat
