347 build advise
0k, so due to other projects waiting in line and missing my mustang so much, ive decided against a 408 stroker and am going to go with a 331 or 347 (probably a n/a 347)
So far these are the things i know i need:
30lb injectors and 76mm calibrated MAF
255lb/hr fuel pump
new fuel rails and fuel pressure regulator
typhoon performer knock off (ill get ported)
either a 65 or 70mm tb (i cant remember which one i have, could i get away with a 65 if it is)
going to order the short block from woody at fordstrokers.com, and will probalby get the cam and heads through him.
Do you guys suggest afr 205's for a 347, or the 185's, its going to be a street daily driver.
is there any thing i am missing???

get a new starter, water pump and altenator, Im sure you can run stock fuel rails with 30# injectors. When you order your heads order the AFR 205's and make sure you upgrade to 7/16ths studs and definitley get the upgraded valve springs and roller rockers. Youll need pushrods too.
Good luck

thanks, yea i figured id take this time to do the 3g upgrade, tho my alternator is brand new on the motor, starters a good point while im at it as well as the waterpump, ill have to do a new fan since my fan just broke on the car.
Can i use the stock fuel pressure regulator as well?
Will i need a new flywheel or will th stock one work fine?

you'll need a new flywheel and balancer, woody should have them, I got my balancer/ PP one from him, most strokers are the standard 28 oz balance not 50 unless specified to be built that way

ok, so just a few more questions...
On a 347 street motor, n/a, will i need a main girdle, h beam rods instead of i - beams, or a steel crank?
also whats the difference between a harmonic balncer that is 28 oxz and a SFI 28 oz balancer?

I beams will be fine in a stock block as the block will let go before the rods do, SFI is approved/certified for 10000 rpm use/race use requirement and cast steel crank will be fine in a stock block
