Default 24 lbs Injectors

Hello everyone I bought some 24lbs injectors, b303 cam GT-40 intake and plan to port my stock heads and put some forged dished pistons and i was wondering if it will require a computer or fuel pump modifications and I am wondering how much hp could it give about on my 89 5.0 mustang gt thanks !!!

You will need a new fuel pump. The stock one flows at 88lph, barely enough for the stock Mustang. So, you should upgrade to either a 190lph or 255lph fuel pump. A good tune would really help your car once the H/C/I is added, but it isn't really mandatory until boost or nitrous comes to play. Considering your E7 heads(although ported) are still a bottle-neck, you should still make some decent power. I'd also get them polished as well. I would guess around 255rwhp and 290rwtq, with a 13.7@101 quarter.

^^ I agree with Tim. There are guys that have 150K on their bottom ends pushing boost with no issues. Stick with the H/C/I and then if you have $$ left over put it somewhere else. If you dont have gears that would be the 1st thing i would do IMO

I bought this car lst november and the engine ws blown the crank shaft was brocken in 2 pieces, i think that the car has over rev..... there are 2 pistons that hit the crank and arent good anymore so i have to get new ones so i taught that i could put some forged dished pistons for reliability and i might put a supercharger next winter:P

Dont go with a Dished Forged Piston go with a Flat Top you will have more bottom end with the Flat tops and It will take Less boost to make Great power. With a dished piston your probably going to be around 8.5:1 and that will be a dog in the lower RPMs and will take more boost to make the same power as a Flat top with Less boost. Not to mention Less Boost = Less Heat Buildup..

If you go with a QUALITY set of pistons like SRP,JE,Probe,DSS they coms with a Single Valve Pocket Eyebrow and you could run HUGE cams with them without fear of the Valves hitting the pistons.BUT by me saying this doesn't mean you shouldnt Check the P/V clearance you should ALWAYS check P/V clearance ALWAYS...

If you go with a cheaper set of pistons like TRW or Keith Black most of them will come with 4 small valve pockets that look like the valve pockets on STOCK 302 pistons.I wouldnt recommend these pistons unless your on a VERY VERY limited budget any of the Pistons I recommended above would work Great they are ALL high quality and most importantly Forged.
