OK Now I have a positive answer on this one. It's not a solenoid but it is indeed a Engine Function Vac Reservoir . The line that comes off of it goes back into the engine compartment and branches off in four directions. One line goes to the EGR, One goes to the intake, one goes to the Themastor Air diverter Solenoid and the other to the Themactor Air Bypass Solenoid. It's purpose was to smooth up emission fuctions so they didn't spike by sudden Vac loss created by Full throttle and heavy load situations. It was a V8 Fuel injection part only. Now there you have it.
This one was really peaking my interest

So, since I have TAD and TAB vacuum lines plugged up, and the EGR running to the intake, I don't need to worry about the vacuum line on the Engine Function Vac Reservoir?
So do we know if we can take these off without problems. I have no smog on mine either. Also what is the big unit under the drivers side fender right near the door? If you need a pic i will get one...

No need to worry about the vacuum reservoir. EGR Valve Regulator (EVR) solenoid connected to the intake..... not the EGR valve directly.
