use a 1/4" deep socket on the end of a high speed reversable drill and prime the oil pump while you have a valve cover off... im betting you arent getting oil flow to the top end and you probably have a collapsed lifter, or two-sixteen

how do i prime the oil pump, and how do i check for colapsed lifters, mine looked brand new. do i have to turn the engine and see if all of them go up and down?

take the dizzy out, put the oil pump priming rod on the oil pump shaft, hook it up to a drill and run it in reverse on the drill for about 3-5 minutes or until you have a good consistant flow out of ALL the push rods
