Default I Found my coolant leak

Well kind of. I saw a puddle under the car after i jacked it up to work on something else and the puddle evaporated and no more dripped. Keep in mind the car was not started for at least a week so I'm thinking it was puddling on the timing cover or something and when i jacked up the front it ran back. Now my question what could leak causing coolant to be puddling on the left side of the timing cover?

dude i just had the same problem. i just rebuilt my motor. and have had colling problems out the a**. anyway to get to your question. if it was me which alot of people may agree, its hard to say without seeing for yourself, but id guess one of the weep holes in the water pump or a coolant hose on the intake. when you say on the left hand side of the cover, do you mean left as in looking at the motor or as in the driver seat? some people look at it differently!!

you have a bad timing cover gasket, or a leaking thermostat gasket

It's on the thermostat side of the engine. The drips were running down and dripping off the corner of the oil pan.

I looked at it a bit today but i could not see any dead giveaways or anything. The puddle is after getting bigger under the car and the car has still not been started if this tells you guys anything. Does anyone know something i could do to find which gasket it is? Thanks
