Stalling
Hey guys, I haven't been on here in a while, but have a question. I have a 91 5.0, that's been sitting of a while. It sat for 2 months, when I drove it recently, it totally stalled on the interstate. After cranking it for 5 times, it finally started, but would sputter every now and then (Check Engine light would come on and off), after a few, everything was fine.
The next time I drove it, no problems, well, until I got gas; as soon as I put gas in it and tried to start it, it took over 5 cranks to start it. All of that made me nervous so I stopped driving it, well, for now.
Has anyone experienced this, is this something I could tackle myself, or is it local mechanic time???

Well, today was the day. I was driving home and here comes the stall. After 5 minutes of being stranded on the road, I was on the way again. About 5 more miles and the back fires start. I finally pulled over and installed a fuel filter I had in the trunk (I put in fuel injector cleaner this morning). Something strange though, I think the arrow was point the wrong way, meaning the fuel filter was installed the wrong way. I will change it again (The arrow is suppose to be pointing towards the engine).
