I have been getting terrible wheel hop in the last while. I have stock upper and lower control arms. Is there a way to tell if the quad shocks are bad without taking them off? Also I have been hearing a squeaking coming from the rear end, it happens when say the car is bucking or something and not when going over bumps if that makes sense. Anyone have a guess as to what that could be? Thanks
ONLY WAY TO INSPECT QUADS is look for leaks or take them off and try and compress them, wheel hop can occur due to bad bushings in the control arms or bushings in the axle housing or inproper pinion angle

I have new u joints and stock mounts so the pinion angle should be good right?
How could I check the bushings to make sure they are in good shape?
Are they original quad shocks? If so....ace them. Both of mine were blown at 100k. They are pretty easy to take off too. Undo the end behind the wheel and just push up. If they don't recoil, they're bad.

There is a high chance that they are original but hard to tell since the PO decided to spray black undercoating **** on everything.
Cost-wise, you could do quad shocks for around $80. Controls arms...probably double that or so? Check the quads first at least before you start throwing money at everything.
