you can run a 3/8 stud or the 7/16 stud what rockers do you have ? what do they take? I would run the 7/16 just for the shear strength over the 3/8 unless you already have 3/8 rockers.
my uncle has a set of 1.7's. i dont know if they are 7/16's or 3/8's. i didnt realize it would be $500 to convert that to stud. wow. whats done at a shop when they are drilled thats different from drilling and tapping anything else?

well, you cant just go randomly drilling them out. If you do, and you dont get it perfectly center, you will NEVER get the rockers to line up properly... as is the case right now with my heads...
