Default 94GT With Rough Idle + Codes!

My newly purchased 94GT is suffering from a rough idle. the car doesnt seem to run bad when im driving it, but it idles like crap and it also crank a few times before it starts. while running every now and then the engine will "stutter". I recently changed these parts:

cap and rotor
spark plugs
spark plug wires
new air filter

Tonight I hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and with the Key On, but the engine not running the fuel pressure was: 37PSI and steady. It didnt leak down at all.

with the key on and engine running the fuel pressure was stead at 32psi at idle and went up each blip of the throttle.

I tried pulling codes and the ones i got were: 116 and 314.

Since there is plenty of fuel can i rule out: regulator, fuel filter and fuel pump? Could a faulty ignition coil cause this? the car seems to be running rich.

Thanks in advance!

I dont have a timing gun.. trying to borrow one, but I did try to slowly adjust the dizzy to see if the idle would smooth out. No matter where the timing is.. it still idles rough and runs rich.

You really really need to have a timing light to dial that in and then go from there. Try disconnecting the battery and do a computer relearn and see if it gets better.

okay will do. But even if i were moving the timing slowly and watching the engine -- wouldnt i see the idel smooth out. The stutter is there no matter where the timing is. I also got the ECT (116) code. Does anyone know if the ECT sensor being bad will affect idle and a/f ratios?

im almost 100% sure it will affect the a/f ratio. depending on how cold/hot the engine is, the ecu sends out signals for how much fuel to give or take away for the engine to run optimally

ECT is one of the major timing and fuel related sensors.... you need to fix what is causing that code

Thanks. I picked up a sensor today. Does anyone know if i need to put teflon tape on the threads of the sensor? or sealant?
