Default 304 rwhp on a 331 with afr heads ..but?

Okay .. Just got the car dynoed 304 rwhp an 343 torque.
Stroked-- to 331 with afr heads and a bbk intake and shorty headers.
While this is much better than the 302 before I was wondering .. I have been messing around with the program virtual engine dyno a noticed they have a 306 parted out making 446 bphp and over 448 tq.
Less ci smaller cam 1.7 rockers and an edelbrock performer egr intake..( even the compression is less. are the edelbrock intake just that much better, in combination with the trickflow heads?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

those computer engine dyno's arent very good. we messed around with them in class dialed in our exact specs we were running on our engines and they were putting out almost 100 more hp than in reality. i have also heard that the bbk intake isnt very good. the holley systemax intakes are awesome and so are the trick flow and edlebrock intakes

I'd of choose a different intake that'd let that stroker breath a little better, I ran the next step up from the xe 274 which was the xe 282, while it was okay for the time being, I felt with a custom cam it'd make more steam, my new cam is over .600 lift and is custom......what springs are you using on the heads??, where did the motor make peak power and how was the torque curve?? do you have the dyno sheets for it??

Yes I have the dyno chart-- how do I post it

So you think I should change over to the edelbrock performer intake?
By the way - cold air intake 24lbs injectors and maf tuned -65mm tb

Dyno says peak horse power was 5700 peak tq 4200 rpm

The springs are whatever came with the heads M&R Engine in California built it-- LOng Block-- I just bolted on the rest. ( aluminum drive shaft)
Funny Thing is the milder cam in the stock engine made the tires chirp in 2nd and 3rd -- now they just stick.
What if I change the shorty headers to long tubes and change the h cross to an x will that help?

Compression 9:6 1

some 30# injectors wouldnt hurt either

throttle body is on the small side too, if a efi stroker is built right, most I have seen use 30 lbs inj but with only 304 ponies your not gonna need bigger until you reconfigure the combo, and no the performer is not the prefered choice, an rpm II or victor or systemax II but non of that is relevant unless you get a decent designed cam and matching spring combo so you can get some more rpm outta that thing.

What type of cam and springs would you recommend.. I do not want a big lumpy idle so I understand some compromise in power is going to take place. I was told that the ecu lv computers hunt idle all day if the lobe sep isnt kept between 112- 115 the 115 being from the stock cam. What is the best You think I can do with a mild "like" cam.. I realize that it contradicts -- I just want more that 304 at the wheel without a power adder

Thanks
