look for a temperature switch, on autozone.com it will show you where it is. its right side of distributor, mounted in intake, right next to coolant temp sensor. by the fuel rail.

Is it possible to install the aftermarket sender t0 the block and check if my dash gauge works or do I have to install the aftermarket gauger with the new sender that came with it?

I bought the Equus gauge from kragen and they said it was a good gauge to use for my car.

It should come with good instructions, I've never heard of that brand before though so who knows. Find a good ground and a good switched 12v power source. I tapped into one of the wires on my headlight switch so when I turn on my headlights/instrument panel lights it would illuminate my gauges. Get out your multi-meter and start probing wires to find one that will work for you. Then just run the wire from the gauge, through the firewall, install your new sending unit in place of the stock one, tighten it down and attach the wire that goes to the gauge. It's really simple.

EY 92hatchlx you've made me decide to use your method of wiring the 12v to the headlights so how do I do the wiring? Do I look for the headlight wiring in the fuse box? It's my first time wiring gauges so I'm going to learn installing this one. So its not possible to just replace the old sender with the new one instead of wiring the gauge? Thank alot man.!

I know how to do enough basic wiring to get me by. I just probed the wires and found one that with the key on and the switch off gave me 0v and with the key on switch on gave me 12v. Pull your headlight switch off the cluster and there's some wires behind it. I just used splice connectors. Don't use the stock gauges, they're all crap.
