theres play in the front passenger wheel up and down and the only thing thats moving is the strut in the strut tower plate so I'm guessing thats what needs to be replaced but thats all I could thing of replacing for that? I'm not trying to reduce flex I'm just trying to fix the looseness in the front end.

The CC plate holds your strut in place. If it's moving up and down in the plate, then I'd say get some C/C plates. Maximum Motorsports and Steeda make good ones.

maximum motorsports and steeda I know are probably a lot better but Its not like Its a road race car. and I'm sure any cc plat is better than stock. do you think it would really be worth it to spend the extra $30-40 plus shipping for the better brands? the j&m ones I found are 164 with free shipping

I would go with MM. But first things first, did you even try tightening the nuts on the strut tower? Never heard of J&M.

yes I have tried to tighten the bolts but they were already tight.

these are the j&m cc's
http://www.americanmuscle.com/4cacapl.html

I wanted those but it seams like the mm's are the same as the j&ms but i don't know much about suspension
