Default what cam

what cam would u recommend in 1990 5.0 with only bbk cold air and bbk shorty headers? (i will change the springs) rest of motor is stock

im looking at e303...f303...or tfs stage 1

i know big cams can lose power, but which of these would be bet for a stock engine? thanks.

I would go with the E303. There have been many articles on the cam and the basic operating rpm is 2500-5500.

IF you want to keep it low budget + keep using the stock heads, you could upgrade the valve springs, use 1.7 ratio rockers and degree/advance the stock cam 2°-4°..... then concentrate on upgrading for the restrictions on the intake. LUK

when i put the new cam in do i have to change the cam bearings or the lifters?

motor has 150 000 km which is 93 000 miles

NO on the bearings (if no oil pressure problems were present)..... YES on the lifters, due to mileage and my own personal experience.
