yep undo the motor mounts, you may get just enough room by loosening the motor mount on the side your working on, in other words one side at a time. loosen the mount jack that side up and slip the header in place and hang it with 2 bolts this way it doesent get pinched when you let the engine back down then go do the other side, take your time the results are well worth it! good luck and dont forget to retighten after a couple of heat cycles.

all of the above are often times things you need to do when installing Lt's, I 've had to do one or the other or all to make them fit

Ive done this install on SN-95s about 5 times..... in my experience, on the driver's side you have to undo the steering shaft and move it out of your way. The driver side the goes in from the bottom. The passenger side you gotta take the mounts loose and jack the engine up till you can slide it in from the top. It's a tight squeeze, but if you get mad enough itll go.

I had to loosen mounts, jack up motor, remove starter. It really wasn't bad though. 5 hours in the driveway.

what kind of headers do you have? i used flowtech lt's which have slip fittings on several of the primary's which made it much easier. but i still had to undo the motor mounts and jack up the engine. nice thing about the flowtechs is one of the slip tubes is the primary that goes around the steering shaft so you dont even have to mess with a new shaft
