overheating

Default overheating

when im driving the car and im at a stop the temperature steadily rises to almost the overheating range im talkin like one bar below red but once i get moving and steady moving like long roads or highways not stop and go the temp will start to go down again...any suggestions?

if that's what the prob is, generally the symptoms of overheat at stop then fine on cruise are fan issues

ok well i just found out its my waterpump i got home popped the hood theres white smoke coming from it and coolant leaking out of it
anybody got detailed instructions how to change it i never done one and cant afford to pay somebody

for one buy a new one not reman one, you'll thank me later.....
1. remove fan shroud and clutch fan
2. then remove drive belt,
3. remove all bolts / nuts holding on a/c / P/s bracket on
4.then all bolts holding on pump to cover and pry off pump
5. clean all surfaces and reinstall new pump in reverse order

I'm sure there are a few little things I'm forgeting but it's not that hard

ok im gunna flush the radiator..change all hoses and thermostat while im at it...
1. wheres the thermostat under which hose and which should i get 180*?
2. does anybody have the diagram for the belt my sticker on my car is gone
3. how much coolant/water mix does it take?

ok heres my list from mustangs unlimited
FRPP Water Pump
Pump-Plate Gasket/Plate-Block Gasket
180* thermostat with gasket
Radiator Hose Kit from motorcraft

that should be everything correct? (minus coolant of course)
