Default Breaking Clutch Cables

i need help i keep breaking clutch cables at the retainer on the firewall and i dont know if its just cause im getting from the local parts store but i ordered a ford racing one and if it breaks i need ideas..but the ford racing one is adjustable unlike the past 3 i have broken.

That's an interesting problem. I take it your clutch and pressure plate are aftermarket. Did you change anything around with your pedal?

The factory Ford ones are better than the aftermarket ones.Let us know how you make out with it.

ya the clutch and pressure plate are both after market but no i didnt do anything around the pedal so we will see how this adjustable one holds up compared to the non-adjustable ones and if it breaks idk what else there is for me to do..

its a stock replacement one but the new cable is coming with one since its adjustable..but i dont see how it would be the problem cause i never had a problem with it..and i just started breaking all these cables and when i would replace them there was nothing wrong with the quadrant.

usually, the cause of broken cables, is the metal quadrant. But if yours is still the plastic one. im not sure what it could be. make sure nothing is chaffing the cable under the dash

ok but still even if it was would i cause the retainer at the firewall to break? it just doesnt add up...
