Default Tranny Problems

I have a 95 mustang gt 5.0L it has an automatic trans with o/d and first gear and reverse are slipping. how do i figure out what specific tranny i have? and i called firestone and they said to do a trans flush i doubt that will make it better. what do u all think?

firestone ..lol, full of a bunch of idiots that have no clue there, you have an AODE ....sounds like it needs a rebuild as long as fluid level is correct...your tranny is on it's way out

not cheap, I doubt ford has them new, even theirs would be reman...try Jasper

i know this, well since i had mine rebuilt... and got screwed over.
your looking at anywhere from $1600 to $2,100 or more if you put good stuff in it.

Mine was suppose to be built solid as a rock, but when the stub shaft snapped i found out it wasnt. that was alot of $$$ down the drain. If you are looking for an AODE, a little bit beefier than stock or want it built as close to bullet proof as possible, shoot me a pm.
