Default What do you think of these roller rockers

http://www.jegs.com/i/Proform/778/66876/10002/-1

They will be going on a stock 302 block with AFR 165's and an E cam. First of I know ive heard bad things bout certain Proform items but I have never heard anything bad bout their rockers so are they good, anyone have them? Also will the 1.6 on the intake and 1.7 on the exhaust work good for my application? I was gonna do all 1.7 but dont wanna have clearance issues so I figured if I did the 1.7 on exhaust I would still get a little extra out the cam, thanks for the help

the guy I just bought a short block from had an e cam and 1 .7's on it with no issues but of course ptv always needs to be checked, in fact need an e-cam??? I'm pulling the e-cam in favor of a custom cam........I had proform 1.6's on my 66 when I still had it and they worked flawlessly for 5 years and still going

$170 for only 8 rockers? For that price you can get FRPP's.

You are getting 16 total-you get 8 w/1.6 ratio and 8 w/1.7 ratio.

I have never heard anything bad about them either. Most of their stuff is knock off and made to look like the more popular stuff.
I tend to stick with what I know is good and I prefer Harland Sharp. If you decide to run them let us know how they work for you.

+1+1 They make excellent rockers, not what I'm running, but Harland Sharp makes absolutely excellent stuff. I'm running the Comp Hi-Tech rockers http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-1132-16/. Got the stainless ones as they won't fatigue like the aluminum ones will.

Though probably out of the range you want to spend. Before buying proform stuff I would PERSONALLY buy the summit brand rockers. I have seen nothing but junk come from proform, in the past couple months, of the 3 proform components I have installed on customers cars, 2 had to go back for warranty already.

Also I really don't like mixing up rockers like that. If I were you I would just get the right cam instead of mixing up rocker arm ratios, what if you were to break one? I always have a couple extra rockers on me just in-case, if you break one and you have mixed ratios, now you have to carry around twice as many of them to be safe. That's just my opinion though. If you aren't running spring, the proforms will probably be alright for you.

well i dont plan on breaking one lol I have my rev limiter at 5800 so I would hope I wouldnt break one. But I would like a couple more opions on the 1.6 on the intake and 1.7 on the exhaust. I am not changing the cam so I figure the 1.7 on exhaust will give me more lope on exhaust like a better cam would and 1.6 on intake would give me better ptv clearance

if i remember correctly duration on the cam is what makes it lope, not necessarily the lift.....

Lift has a part too... My bad on the count, I thought you might have a choice of it. Thats not a bad price then, I might have to pick up a set down the road.
