H/C/I
Is 177,000 miles on a 5.0 motor to much for a H/C/I swap? It is still speed density so any ideas on what heads cam and intake to choose? And lastly how much will the parts needed to rebuild this motor run me? Any websites on rebuild kits if possible?

Oh. I see.. way I see it, never too old for a H/I/C..
If the engine is running well, just slap on some upgrades! lol
But then again, if your taking the engine out, may want to rebuild.... hmmmm... maybe someone else will chime in that has more experience than me...lol

well that is a lot but you could still do the hci and be ok. it all really depends on how the motor was maintained. if you can and are willing then do the rebuild and the h/c/i at the same time. i would have liked to fully rebuild my engine mostly for the insurance of knowing that it was new and not worrying about the bearings going on me.
the rebuild kit is not the expensive part its having the machine work done

So Im plannong on doing the maf conversion first and I found this:http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/PMA-EMAWH: So all I would need is the meter and the computer right? I have a meter from a 95 mustang will that work?

do a compression test, if the compression is good and your not burning oil, no need for a rebuild if you cant afford it. if you want to do h/c/i i would convert to maf first. from what i understand you can do heads and intake without issue but when you throw in a cam, the speed density system starts to have issues
