Zoom HP Clutch & Aluminum Flywheel: Mistake?
Hi guys,
So I'm the proud new owner of a 1993 LX 5.0 notch SSP but it is in desperate need of a new clutch. I was able to limp it the 1300 miles home from Arizona although on the bigger inclines it would slip enough that I had to slow down to 50.
I just ordered a Zoom HP clutch and a Fidanza aluminum flywheel but I'm questioning whether I made the right move. Currently the car has the following upgrades: BBK cold air intake, BBK 75mm mass air meter, BBK 70 or 75mm throttle body, BBK intake, BBK long tube headers, Flowmasters, and some other small stuff I'm forgetting. Future mods to include a nice set of heads and maybe a cam. I'm not planning on a supercharger but you never know. 400+hp and I'll be plenty happy.
This car will not be a daily driver, mostly just a weekend cruising car. Stop-and-go traffic isn't a concern but I still want the thing to be streetable. I'm pretty sure I can live with the lighter flywheel, but I'm not sure if the aluminum flywheel and the clutch together might be a bad choice. Maybe a steel flywheel and a higher-performance clutch or an aluminum flywheel and a more OEM style clutch, but not both? Thoughts?
If you care, here are some photos from the previous owner. Scroll to the bottom.

Thanks in advance.

that throttle body seems a bit big. are you at "full throttle" when the gas pedal is at like 80%...
Aluminum flywheels don't absord as much vibration as a steel flywheel... I've got no experience to back this... but the driveline vibrations may be a bit more.
